17 June 2026 The National Science Centre (NCN) announces GRIEG BIS call for research projects financed from the EEA Financial Mechanism 2021 – 2028. The GRIEG BIS call is part of the Basic Research Programme operated by the National Science Centre under the EEA and Norway Grants , and is prepared in cooperation with the Research Council of Norway (RCN) and the Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannis). The call budget is 50,000,000 EUR. Under GRIEG BIS, research projects may be planned for a period of 36 months. Funding is available for international partnerships led by Polish research organisations, involving at least one partner from the EEA Countries: Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein . The Principal Investigator must be at least a PhD holder at the time of submission. While the call is open to all research fields and topics, proposals must address challenges within at least one of the three priority areas : the European green transition, democracy, the rule of law, and human rights, social inclusion and resilience. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the OSF submission system , pursuant to the Proposal Submission Procedure . The call for proposals in the OSF submission system will open no later than 25 June and will remain open until 30 September 2026, 14:00 CEST. To facilitate the formation of international consortia, NCN has launched a dedicated EEA & Norway Grants Partner Matchmaking Tool .
